The stars are Amazon’s on Oct 2, 2026. The good, the bad, and the ugly is a reading of those reviews, not a hands-on test.

An RV has two different jobs. One is keeping the house battery from going flat while the rig sits. The other is running lights and phones inside. This note is about a portable panel and a station you set out beside the rig. It is not a rooftop install, and it is not a claim that these parts belong on the roof.

For cabin power, the Jackery Explorer 300 is the small option. Amazon’s price the evening of Oct 2, 2026 was $259 (list $289). The panel is sold separately.

Panel, not a roof

A foldable 100W panel, the ZOUPW, was $88.31 (list $105.99). A fixed 200W Renogy N-Type panel showed both $152.99 and $179.99 that evening, 4.6 stars from 228 reviews. Use it for an RV or off-grid setup on the ground or a rack you already own. Do not treat it as a rooftop module, and do not treat it as the official panel for the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. That unit’s Amazon page says solar charging works only with Jackery panels.

Trickle chargers and Y-branch connectors are add-ons for the 12-volt battery. They are listed on the gear page. They are not a house solar system.
